Quick Search corrosivity glassware.jpg (59281 bytes) Corrosivity Glassware

The specialist corrosivity glassware setup shown opposite is used to measure the corrosivity towards metals & alloys of both aqueous & non - aqueous liquid wastes.

This test exposes corrosion coupons to the liquid waste to be evaluated by measuring the degree to which the coupon has been dissolved.

The setup is divided into the individual items shown below.

Product Catogories
corrosivity reaction vessel.jpg (52676 bytes) 1000ml Water Jacketed Reaction Vessel

The Jacketed reaction vessel shown opposite is manufactured from borosilicate glass. The 1000ml internal vessel is encapsulated by a water jacket with two srewthread side ports for circulating fluid through (generally water) to control the temperature of the inner vessel. The flat ground glass flange on the top of the vessel allows entry to the inner vessel only and ensures an air tight seal when multi-port lid is in place (see below).

corrosivity clamp & lid.jpg (35112 bytes) Multi-Port Lid & S/S Clamp

The Multi-Port lid shown opposite is manufactured from borosilicate glass with four ground glass sockets and a screwthread to accomodate the various items shown for this corrosion setup. The flat ground glass flange ensures an air tight seal when clamped to the vessel above. The number, size and types of ports on the lid can easily be varied from the one shown.

corrosivity condenser.jpg (35468 bytes) Condenser Liebig

A general purpose Liebig condenser is shown opposite. Fitted with screwthreads and detachable plastic hose connectors which allow flexable tubing to be fitted easily.

corrosivity coupon holder.jpg (10324 bytes) Corrosion Coupon Support (PTFE)

The Corrosion coupon holder shown opposite is manufactured from PTFE and is completely chemically inert to ensure no contamination under test. The coupon holder inserts into the centre port on the multi-port lid the corrosion coupons hang on the ends of the support immersing them in the vessel. The holder can be manufactured to required specifications to hold strip coupons, ladder coupons & flush disc coupons.

corrosivity sparging tube.jpg (31413 bytes) Gas Sparge Tube

The gas sparge tube shown opposite is used for the dispertion of gas in liquids. A variety of different porosity's are available

corrosivity thermowell.jpg (30577 bytes) Thermowell

The Thermowell shown opposite is manufactured from borosilicate glass and is fitted to the vessel via a screwthread connection on the multi-port lid. The thermowell is needed to insert a thermocouple to monitor the temperature of the vessel.
